Data Privacy and Compliance
Speaker: Jonah Jimenez, Active Navigation
No doubt you’ve seen cookies on websites asking for tracking consent, along with a host of other privacy notices – all thanks to the EU’s law on data protection and privacy – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Over a year has passed since GDPR went into effect, and we continue to hear about the challenges of complying with this demanding data privacy legislation. With the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) going into effect January 1, 2020, organizations are under mounting pressure to protect consumer data. Also, for state agencies, Executive Order 16-01 regarding modernizing state agency privacy protections.
With so many data privacy laws on the horizon (Texas, Utah and New York to name a few), companies need to be prepared to meet increasingly stringent data privacy regulations. During this talk, learn how Active Navigation’s Discovery Center can help with compliance by automating the mapping, classifying, cleaning and deleting of sensitive, risky data.
