Personal Information Protection (PIP) Day
Properly disposing of personal documents is essential to protecting your personal information.
Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming an identity theft victim. The Washington State Office of the Attorney General provides a list of free community shred events to keep personal information out of the hands of crooks: www.atg.wa.gov/Shredathon.aspx
The Puget Sound Chapter of ARMA helps coordinate an annual shredding event for ‘Personal Information Protection’ Day. We thank all member agencies for their support of these free events for the public!
