We could use some help with bringing in local donations for our Annual Holiday Auction in December, which helps benefit our scholarship programs throughout the year for our chapter.

Several members of the Puget Sound ARMA are attending the annual ARMA International conference in Orlando this week. The theme of this year’s conference is “Agents of Change”.

Pinterest! Interested?

Those of you who attended our September 2017 program learned how Pinterest can be an important tool for agencies and groups (like ARMA chapters) to connect with existing audience and reach out to new groups and potential members or customers.

ARMA Puget Sound Chapter Board members Karen Hague, Audrey Houston, and Susan Haigh just set up a Pinterest account for our own chapter, where we will post things like tools and tips, ARMA events, and ‘RIM-shots’ of humor, just for fun!

From ARMA International: The ARMA International Election Management Task Force announces the call for nominations and candidates for the board of directors. View the candidate submission requirements and qualifications.

For this election cycle, the Election Management Task Force will be filling these three positions beginning July 1, 2018:

  • President elect
  • Director (One spot is open)
  • Treasurer

President’s Message – September 2017

Welcome Back!  I trust you all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed your vacations.

We held a Board transition meeting in June and your new Board is listed below.  Our goal for the new year is to increase meeting attendance by 15%.  Last year our goal was to increase membership and we achieved that goal!

Can’t attend ARMA Conference this year? Anyone can take part in ARMA Flipped on Aug 29, 2017!

From ARMA International: If you cannot participate in ARMA Live! 2017 in Orlando, you can still take part in the ARMA Flipped sessions.

Attend the August 29 sessions or view them on-demand, and then use the handouts to facilitate a follow-up workshop with your ARMA chapter or your department to apply what you’ve learned. Invite a local expert to facilitate the face-to-face workshop, or lead it yourself!

These “flipped” sessions are four web seminars with live text chat, SMEs, and solution providers, occuring in a virtual exhibit hall. (Anyone with a full conference registration will be automatically registered for ARMA Flipped!)
